Clear local user temp directory open file explorer type %temp% and hit enter, Select all files and folders Ctrl A Press delete on your keyboard (depending on how many files and folders are in this directory, it may take a few minutes to delete all the files and folders) If you receive File in use, Folder in use, or Folder Access Denied messages Put a check mark in the Do this for all current items Click Skip Empty the Recycle bin
